ZinPay is the financial technology business of Zindor Group Limited, with offices in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through our website, applications, agents, and support channels.
2. What we collect
To open and operate an account we collect identification data (name, phone number, BVN, government-issued ID, photograph), contact details, device information, and transaction records. We collect only what we need to provide the service, meet our legal obligations, and keep your money safe.
3. Why we collect it
Your data is used to verify your identity, process transactions, prevent fraud and financial crime, comply with Nigerian financial regulations, resolve disputes, and improve our products. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
4. Legal basis
We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and applicable financial-sector requirements, on the basis of contract performance, legal obligation, and legitimate interest in protecting our customers and platform.
5. How it is protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside the company is restricted to staff who need it for their role, and is logged. Customer funds and customer data are governed by separate, audited controls.
6. Sharing
We share data only with regulated partner institutions, payment processors, identity-verification providers, and authorities where the law requires it. Every partner is bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
7. Retention
Transaction and identity records are retained for the periods required by Nigerian financial regulations. When data is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to records we are legally required to keep. Write to us and we will respond within the timelines set by the NDPR.
